Manchester, Conn. — Bob’s Discount Furniture has opened four new stores in the Greater Pittsburgh and Baltimore areas. Additionally, Bob’s has relocated its Seabrook, N.H., store. After opening more than 12 new stores in the past 2 years, Bob’s will now have 61 stores in 11 states, with additional expansion planned for 2016.

Toronto — Lowe’s Canada has reached agreement to acquire the leases of 13 former Target Canada locations and to purchase Target’s Milton, Ontario, distribution center for approximately C$151 million. This acquisition came as part of a real estate auction following Target’s decision to cease operations in Canada.
Batavia, Ill. — ALDI, a low price grocery leader, has completed its purchase of 66 real estate assets from the Delhaize Group. The transaction includes the land, buildings and leasehold improvements associated with Delhaize’s recently retired Bottom Dollar Food operation.
Dublin, Calif. — Ross Stores recently opened 32 Ross Dress for Less® (“Ross”) and five dd’s DISCOUNTS® stores across 15 different states. These openings are part of the off-price retailer’s 2015 expansion plans to add a total of approximately 70 Ross and 20 dd’s DISCOUNTS locations during the year.
Mebane, N.C. — Kingsdown, Inc., the nation’s largest independent and employee-owned mattress manufacturer, has signed a new licensing agreement with Chinese bedding producer and retailer, Roth Bedding Technology International Limited, to open 500 stores over the next 5 years.
