Toronto — On October 19, 2017, a joint venture (JV) group began operating liquidation sales at the remaining Sears Canada department stores and Home stores. Fort Worth, Texas — RadioShack has hired Dene Rogers to join the company as president and CEO on May 9, 2016. He has previously served as CEO of Target Australia and CEO of Sears Canada, which he led to become Canada’s largest and most profitable online retailer. At RadioShack, Rogers will focus on positioning RadioShack’s unique omni-channel platform for long term growth. Rogers will also serve on RadioShack’s board of directors.
Toronto — Sears Canada Inc. has appointed Becky Penrice as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Penrice has been senior vice president and interim chief operating officer since February 1, 2016. Prior to that, Penrice was senior vice president, human resources and information technology.
