Atlanta — The Home Depot® has been highlighted as a global leader on corporate climate action and continues to pursue its sustainability goals with new renewable energy initiatives in 2019. CDP, an environmental impact non-profit, has named The Home Depot to its Climate Change “A” List for its actions to cut carbon emissions and mitigate climate risks.

Mooresville, N.C. — Lowe’s Companies, Inc. has named Marvin R. Ellison as president and CEO, effective July 2, 2018. He will also join Lowe’s board of directors at that time. Ellison succeeds Robert A. Niblock, who previously announced his intention to retire. The Lowe’s board has also appointed Richard W. Dreiling, a director of Lowe’s since 2012, as chairman, effective July 2, 2018.
Atlanta — The Home Depot® has made its first major investment in a wind-powered renewable energy project. The energy purchased from the wind farm is enough to power 100 Home Depot stores for a year while also providing $150,000 in local community benefits.
Minneapolis — Target Corporation has hired Ben Cook as senior vice president, global logistics, inventory allocation and replenishment. Cook will lead the optimization of Target’s inbound and outbound supply chain processes. He’ll also oversee inventory allocation and replenishment, merchandise planning operations and global logistics. He will report to Target’s executive vice president and chief supply chain and logistics officer, Arthur Valdez.
