Livonia, Mich. — TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, fast-casual, quick-service, virtual kitchen and family dining restaurants throughout the state, has promoted John Andrews to chief operating officer.
Andrews, whose previous post was senior vice president of TSFR’s casual dining division, has served more than 10 years in leadership at the restaurant group, overseeing some of its most significant brands.
“In his many years at TSFR, John has led the way, inspiring our TEAM to be the best in everything we do,” says Mark Schostak, executive chairman of TSFR. “As the industry addresses dynamic changes, we are confident that John’s leadership and vision will continue to position our portfolio for the future.”
Andrews joined TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants in 2012 as vice president for the then-recently purchased Applebee’s brand and was instrumental in transitioning the Applebee’s team into the restaurant group. Within his first 3 years, he spearheaded the remodeling of 40 Applebee’s restaurants across the state.
In his new role, Andrews will continue to oversee the Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen and MOD Pizza brands and will also become increasingly involved with TSFR’s Wendy’s locations. In addition, he will continue to guide the facilities, marketing and training departments, while adding the human resources department to his responsibilities. Andrews will also serve as a member of TSFR’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), which guides broader organizational strategy.
For the past four decades, TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants has expanded its restaurant catalog to include 61 Applebee’s (including the world’s only co-branded Applebee’s/IHOP, inside Detroit’s Millender center), 19 Olga’s Kitchen restaurants, 4 Olga’s Fresh Grilles, 8 Olga’s host kitchens, 12 MOD Pizza restaurants and 55 Wendy’s locations across Michigan.
