Charlotte, N.C. — Andrew Bardsley joins Wastequip to lead its new retail business unit.
Charlotte, N.C. — With a strong focus on growing the retail business for its Toter® brand, Wastequip® recently added a new position at its corporate headquarters. Andrew Bardsley has joined the Toter team as its first vice president of the newly formed retail business unit, according to CEO Marty Bryant.
Bardsley brings more than 20 years of global experience in the manufacturing and industrial markets, previously serving in engineering, marketing, sales and product management roles at Ingersoll Rand and Atlas Copco. Prior to joining Wastequip, Bardsley acted as global assembly business leader for Ingersoll Rand.
The addition of Bardsley’s senior leadership position will provide the strategic focus necessary to achieve the aggressive long-range growth plans Wastequip has for Toter’s consumer business. Part of that growth strategy includes shifting all manufacturing for Toter’s consumer products to the U.S. One of Bardsley’s key initiatives will be developing Toter’s ‘Made in America’ strategy to better meet consumer and retailer demand for products manufactured in the U.S.
“We’re excited to welcome Andy into the Wastequip fold,” says Bryant. “Toter is a well-known brand with strong American roots, and our retail customers in particular are demanding American-made products. Andy will help us create a disciplined strategy around this key sales channel of our business. We believe there is great opportunity to expand Toter’s footprint in the retail channel, and we’re confident that Andy’s vast experience and strong established relationships will allow us to realize this opportunity.”
Toter is the leading manufacturer of curbside refuse and recycling carts to waste haulers and municipalities throughout North America. Toter curbside carts are the only commercial-grade carts available to consumers at major retailers nationwide. Toter is a division of Wastequip.
