Yard House Brings First Restaurant to New York City in Times Square

New York City — Yard House, a modern American gathering place where beer and food lovers unite, has leased space at 10 Times Square, marking its first restaurant in New York City. The new Yard House will feature new American cuisine with a globally inspired menu, along with a wide range of draft beers and craft cocktails in a stylish and energetic setting, which will create a unique offering in the Times Square/Bryant Park neighborhood.

Yard House has leased roughly 19,000 square feet of prime retail space comprising the first floor, second floor and lower level space with frontage on Seventh Avenue and wrapping around on West 41st Street. Additionally, Yard House will be adding mezzanine spaces that will cater to private parties and overflow dining needs. There is great signage visibility and with collaboration from New York-based restaurant design group, ICrave, the external and internal design will become part of the new streetscape. Yard House joins Champs Sports in closing out the vast majority of the newly created, glass box retail space at 10 Times Square located on the southwest corner of Broadway and West 41st Street.

“We are thrilled to add Yard House to the retail roster at 10 Times Square and we look forward to seeing their success as the neighborhood is yearning for such a venue,” says Steve Anderson, CEO of L.H. Charney Associates. “With the addition of Yard House, the crossroads of Broadway and 41st Street offers workers, tourists and visitors a great mix of happening places in which to spend time.”

“We’re excited to be on the world stage in opening a Yard House in Manhattan,” says Michael Kneidinger, president, Yard House. “This unique space stood out to us, with attributes like floor-to-ceiling windows that give passersby a look inside to the wonderful design, with a world-class selection of draft beer that guests can enjoy all in one place.”

The building at 10 Times Square (also known as 1441 Broadway), is a 34-story, 575,000-square-foot commercial office building. Originally designed by Backman & Kahn and completed in 1930, the building was originally called the “Bricken Textile Building.” During the garment center era and through the 1980s when New York City was a fashion center, the building was home to many well known fashion designers.

10 Times Square is owned and managed by L.H. Charney Associates, a privately held real estate development company headquartered in New York City. Founded by the late Leon Charney in 1981, the company’s current holdings include 10 Times Square and 1410 Broadway in New York City. The properties are self-managed by L.H. Management Company.
