Sephora To Expand Presence in Canada

by Katie Lee

Montreal — Sephora continues to revolutionize the Canadian retail landscape with the launch of a newly optimized Canadian Sephora.ca experience and the opening of a distribution center.  The beauty retailer currently has more than 56 stores in Canada.

In 2012, Sephora expanded its online beauty presence in Canada by launching sephora.ca. Launching this September, Canadian clients who shop using the mobile web or Sephora to Go App (iOS or Android) will have full functionality including the new shipping features and checkout from their smartphones.

The web enhancements are in part due to the supply-chain infrastructure improvement following the recent opening of the first Canadian distribution center located in Ontario.

“Since Sephora debuted in Canada 11 years ago, we have been relentless on improving our client experience, both in store and online,” says Philippe Pinatel, senior vice president and general manager of Sephora Canada.

SEPHORA has been changing the face of prestige cosmetics since its debut in 1970s Paris. SEPHORA was acquired by leading luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton in 1997 and launched its innovative concept in North America in 1998. Sephora has over 1,780 locations in 29 countries — including 380 in North America with over 56 locations across Canada. For more information, visit www.sephora.ca or www.sephora.com.
