1,000th T.J.Maxx Store Opens in Washington, D.C.

Framingham, MA — T.J.Maxx marks a major milestone in the brand’s 35-year history with the opening of its 1,000th store, located in downtown Washington, D.C., on April 25th.

 

Framingham, MA — T.J.Maxx, one of the nation’s largest off-price retailers, marks a major milestone in the brand’s 35-year history with the opening of its 1,000th store, located in downtown Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, April 25th.

“The opening of the 1,000th T.J.Maxx store is a significant moment for Maxxinistas across the country and we thank them for their loyalty over the past 35 years,” says Richard Sherr, president of T.J.Maxx.

The 28,450-square-foot store joins 23 T.J.Maxx stores currently in the Washington, D.C., market. Currently, the company has stores in 48 U.S. states; in May, it will open three stores in Oahu, Hawaii, marking the 49th state for T.J.Maxx.
