by Katie Lee

Chicago — SMS Assist has hired long-time technology executive Kevin McDunn as chief product officer. McDunn will lead all aspects of SMS Assist’s product innovation strategy as the quickly growing company continues to reinvent facilities management services.

McDunn, with previous experience at Lenovo, Google and Motorola, was most recently chief product officer at UI LABS, an accelerator focused on transforming industries through digital technology (UI LABS rebranded as MxD in February).

“Our company is built on powerful products and innovative ideas,” says Taylor Rhodes, CEO of SMS Assist. “Kevin has successfully blended the two throughout his career, and we look forward to the impact he’ll make across our organization.”

SMS Assist is a recognized cloud leader that has been one of Chicago’s fastest-growing technology companies for years. The company enhances how customers experience some of the nation’s biggest brands, streamlining facilities management services with a technology platform that offers real-time quality assurance and transparency across more than 186,000 properties.
