Nebraska Book Company Appoints Interim President & CEO

Lincoln, Neb. — Nebraska Book Company | Neebo, operator of more than 200 college stores nationwide and one of the largest distributors in the wholesale textbook industry and a leading provider of collegiate retail systems supporting more than 2,000 college related stores, has named an interim president and CEO.

Former President and CEO Steve Clemente has resigned from his position, effective February 20, 2015. Clemente will continue working with the company as a member of the board of directors.

Ben Riggsby, senior vice president and chief strategy officer, has been appointed interim president and CEO by the company’s board of directors. Riggsby has worked closely with Clemente over his past 2 years with the company.

Riggsby joined NBC | Neebo in his current role in 2012 from Steelhead Enterprises where he was co-founder and general manager. Prior to Steelhead, Ben was an executive with Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video, an international media retailer with more than 4,000 locations.
