Chicago — Englewood Construction’s retail group has started work on a new 40,000-square-foot American Girl Place store at 75 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. American Girl will move to the new location this fall from the current American Girl Place New York at 609 Fifth Ave.

Houston — Fuddruckers, an iconic, Texas-born hospitality brand, has debuted its first new Houston-area location in almost 2 years. Opened on April 11, 2017, the approximately 4,000-square-foot restaurant is located in The Woodlands. The site will introduce the option of self-ordering with four touchscreen kiosks.
Oak Brook, Ill. — The board of directors of Federal Signal Corporation, a leader in environmental and safety solutions, has appointed David G. Martin as its chief operating officer. He will join the company on April 10, 2017 and will report directly to Jennifer L. Sherman, president and chief executive officer.
Madison, Ga. — Georgia-based Amici Italian Café has awarded a 20-unit franchise deal to Stonemont Financial Group, a private investment firm headquartered in Atlanta. Stonemont will open new Amici restaurants across North and South Carolina with the first location adjacent to the campus of Clemson University. It will open in fall 2017.
Irving, Texas — 7-Eleven, Inc. has signed an agreement with TXU Energy to purchase 100% Texas wind energy for all its Texas stores located in competitive energy markets. The 96-month wind energy agreement, which impacts 425 stores, starts June 1, 2018, and is expected to reduce 7-Eleven’s carbon footprint by 6.7% while providing significant operating expense savings.
