Atlanta — Church’s Chicken® is about to undergo a large-scale, $40 million domestic expansion. The new franchisee, Volunteer Chicken LLC, will open 10 new restaurants with financial backing provided by American Development Partners (ADP). New markets slated for development include Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tenn., with another 10-restaurant deal expected to follow in 2021.

Sunbury, Pa. — Weis Markets has successfully converted 44 supermarket locations resulting from three acquisitions beginning August 1, 2016. Weis Markets had acquired five Mars Super Market locations in Baltimore County, Md., 38 Food Lion stores throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, and a Nell’s Family Market in East Berlin, Pa. The acquisitions have increased its operating stores by 25%.
