Canton, Mass. — Paul Twohig, president of Dunkin’ Donuts U.S. and Canada, has decided to retire at the end of the first quarter of 2017. Dunkin’ Brands, the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, plans to name a successor before the end of the year.
Batavia, Ill. — ALDI will successfully take its California footprint from 0 to 25 stores in less than 3 months with the grand opening of seven new locations on Thursday, May 19, 2016. ALDI will open its newest stores in San Diego, Kern and Imperial counties.
Oakland, N.J. — Amerlux has appointed Ted des Enfants to vice president of commercial lighting sales. In his new position, he oversees the commercial sales team including the firm’s network of sales agencies across North America while upgrading support for agents, specifiers and customers to exceed the latest in service requirements, and create new programs that are user-friendly, scalable and will satisfy their lighting needs.
Kansas City, Mo. — Beth Ward, managing director of Hallmark’s Asia Pacific procurement organization, has been named senior vice president – supply chain, effective April 1, 2016. Ward will replace Pete Burney who retired after 25 years with the company.
Fort Worth, Texas — East Coast Wings & Grill, a fast-growing casual dining chicken wing franchise, has partnered with customer analytics firm Buxton. The new partnership will focus on helping East Coast Wings & Grill identify growth opportunities and optimize site selection decisions.
Fort Worth, Texas — RadioShack has hired Dene Rogers to join the company as president and CEO on May 9, 2016. He has previously served as CEO of Target Australia and CEO of Sears Canada, which he led to become Canada’s largest and most profitable online retailer. At RadioShack, Rogers will focus on positioning RadioShack’s unique omni-channel platform for long term growth. Rogers will also serve on RadioShack’s board of directors.
Oakland, N.J. — Amerlux has appointed John Mamo to vice president of global sales. In his new role, Mamo engages closely with international accounts that are positioned in established and rapidly growing emerging markets, including specialty retailers, major department stores, hospitality accounts, grocery retailers and mall developers throughout Europe, Mexico, Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America.
San Diego — Dickey’s Barbecue Pit recently signed a 12-store development agreement with Owner/Operator Michael Tucker. Already the owner of the La Quinta Dickey’s location, Tucker’s agreement originally contained four stores, which are slated to open in Indio, Moreno Valley and Redlands, Calif. The new agreement adds eight stores to the existing four-store deal.
