Tampa, Fla. — World of Beer, the Tampa, Fla.-based craft tavern concept featuring 550+ craft and international beers, has signed a franchise agreement to expand internationally for the first time. The new tavern will be located in Shanghai, China, and is slated to open in the second quarter of 2016. Franchisee Cong Yin and his two partners plan to open at least three locations in Shanghai over the next 3 years.

Woburn, Mass., and Charlotte, N.C. — Massachusetts-based U.S. Pavement Services, Inc. has expanded its paving and pavement maintenance operations to the Carolinas. Original 800-PAVEMENT network member Rick Adkison and his long-time staff and crews will now operate as U.S. Pavement Services based in Charlotte, N.C. Adkison will serve as general manager of the newly created division, overseeing all operations in the region.

Cincinnati and Milwaukee — The Kroger Co. has promoted Michael Marx, currently vice president of people operations for Kroger, to serve as president of Roundy’s Supermarkets, Wisconsin, effective April 1, 2016. The company also promoted Don Rosanova, currently executive vice president of operations for Roundy’s, to president of Mariano’s, effective immediately. Both leaders will report to Roundy’s CEO Bob Mariano.
