Jacksonville, FL — Harbinger Sign has hired 11 new employees to help meet growing demand and support the company’s new national call center for sign maintenance.

Jacksonville, FL — Harbinger Sign, a national sign engineering and manufacturing company, has hired 11 new employees. The new hires will help meet growing demand for the company’s patented LED Retrofit Kit, the first ever in the sign industry, and support the company’s new national call center for sign maintenance. Harbinger has more than 100 employees.

“Our LED Retrofit Kit is in great demand because it meets a pressing challenge in our industry — how to convert existing fluorescent signs to LED quickly, while maintaining quality,” says Steve Williams, Harbinger’s president. “Since its launch, we have tripled our revenue. We’re excited to bring on more talented team members as we continue to grow.”

Retrofitting is the process of changing lighting and electrical components within the sign and leaving the exterior intact. The patented kit equips installers with everything needed to retrofit a sign from fluorescent to LED lighting on site within 1 to 3 hours. It has paved the way for national multi-location businesses to convert hundreds to thousands of sites at a time, easily and cost-effectively.

In January 2012, Harbinger opened a call center in Dallas — its first location outside of Jacksonville — and welcomed Tim O’Donnell as executive vice president. The Dallas site serves as a national call center providing sign and lighting maintenance, lighting retrofits, and energy management of all Harbinger products.
