Beverly Hills, Calif. — Kennedy Wilson Brokerage, a division of Kennedy Wilson, a global real estate investment and services firm, has hired Scott Gordon as a senior vice president of property services in its Los Angeles office. Gordon will provide full-service consultation and brokerage services to investors, landlords, tenants, and emerging retail and food-and-beverage concepts.
Gordon brings more than 30 years of national retail experience in development, leasing and management of specialized retail, entertainment and food and beverage projects of scale. Throughout his career, Gordon has overseen the creation of more than 4 million square feet of highly specialized retail and residential properties. Among the notable retail-entertainment projects Gordon has led or contributed to are The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas, The Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City, The Shops at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, Beverly Center in Los Angeles, and Bridgemarket in New York City.
“Having Scott on board adds a new dimensionality to our brokerage and property services platform,” says Ed Sachse, president of Kennedy Wilson Property Services. “His experience as a retail developer and principal as well as an operator gives him a perspective on real estate few advisors can offer.”
Gordon’s retail experience also encompasses a background in food and beverage development and operations as a Starbucks multi-unit licensee, a rare and elite designation granted to less than 30 independent owner-operators in the United States. As an owner-operator, he oversaw the development, construction and financing of eight non-traditional Starbucks locations.
Gordon’s experience in residential and restaurant development includes Sweetwater Mesa Ranch in Malibu, Calif., a 160-acre luxury subdivision that included four individual 40-acre home sites, and two Wolfgang Puck fine dining concepts in Las Vegas: the world-famous Spago and Chinois.
