Linron Company: Signature Vendor Spotlight

by Katie Lee

— Interview with Angie Adams —

R&R: Where are you based and how long has the company been in business?

Angie Adams, Linron Company

Angie Adams: Our corporate headquarters is located in Houston, Texas. Linron Company has been in business since 1993, 28 years.

R&R: What is your name and title, and how long have you been with the company?

Adams: My name is Angie Adams, I am the executive vice president of sales & marketing and have been with Linron Company since 2014 (7 years).

R&R: What trades/services do you offer retailers and restaurants?

Adams: Linron Company is a flooring solution provider. We offer turnkey service to the customer, providing material, installation, project management, with 24 hour 7 days a week service.

R&R: In what regions of the country do you conduct most of your business, or are you nationwide?

Adams: We are nationwide.

R&R: What makes your company’s “signature service” stand out in the industry?

Adams: We custom the solution around the customer’s flooring need, providing the best solution for the project. Our signature service gives our client the best customer experience.

R&R: What kind of feedback do you receive from clients?

Adams: Our client feedback is as follows: passionate, knowledgeable, fair and always provides the best most truthful solutions to customers.

R&R: Why should owner/operators choose your company to be their next vendor partner?

Adams: We believe it’s important to create long-lasting relationships with our customers, founded on honesty and trust. We pride ourselves in taking the old-fashioned approach to building long-standing partnerships.

R&R: How did your company keep clients engaged and their facilities maintained during COVID? How did your company navigate most client facilities being closed during spring 2020?

Adams: Communication was the key and remains important today. When the world shut down, we all had to scramble quickly to resume day-to-day business functions — but this time, without being at the office or having in-person contact. We discovered open communication and honesty with our clients was instrumental in moving forward during the uncertain times we have all experienced. It seems everything pre-COVID (2019) has been put to a halt and we all had to create a “new normal” and learn to do business from a distance without distancing our relationships. I think at some point we have all learned to incorporate Zoom and other face-to-face meeting apps as a form of communication to navigate through the new normal.

R&R: In light of a very tumultuous 2 years, what trends are you seeing in the industry now? What is your advice for FM vendors reacting to this post-COVID climate?

Adams: With the world suffering through the pandemic, our focus is to give our clients the healthiest option as part of their overall solution. COVID-19 has been an eye opener, obviously to everyone. Our leader, president and owner, Linda Krienke, reached out to experts to help find ways to improve our flooring options given as a solution to our customers. During 2020, we conducted a white paper study on bacterial growth/viruses in concrete flooring where food is served, stored or sold, and it was an eye opener to say the least. The deeper we studied we realized that health and safety was critical to not only to our customer solution but the consumer walking on the floor. Providing a proper floor covering that creates a healthy environment was — and is — a must.

R&R: What predictions do you have — for your company, your industry or both — in 2022? Are things finally looking up?

Adams: We are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel and anticipating a better year for the industry and for us personally as a company. We believe 2022 will be a turnaround year and we are looking forward to it.
