Nordstrom Opens First International Flagship Location

Seattle — Nordstrom, Inc. has opened a new store at Pacific Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, marking the company’s first international flagship location. The 230,000-square-foot store offers a curated selection of merchandise from many of the world’s best brands.

“Our goal is to make this a great store,” says Chris Wanlass, Nordstrom Pacific Centre store manager. “Not just a great Nordstrom store, but one of the world’s greatest stores. We look forward to serving both local customers and visitors from around the world.”

Pacific Centre marks the third of six announced Nordstrom stores to open in Canada through 2017. Future openings include: Toronto Eaton Centre opening September 16, 2016; Yorkdale Centre, Toronto opening October 21, 2016; and Sherway Gardens, Toronto opening in spring 2017.

The store is the sixth to feature the company’s newest design concept, which incorporates natural light with a clean, single surface floor throughout. The flagship store will also offer several services to enhance the shopping experience, including Canada’s first-ever Sugarfina candy shop and Drybar blow out bar.
