PetSmart Appoints Senior Vice President and CFO

Phoenix — PetSmart, Inc. has named Rob Anderson to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective October 5, 2015. He brings more than 25 years of financial experience, most recently serving as CFO for Save-A-Lot, a $4.8 billion discount grocery chain.

“We’re excited to welcome Rob to the PetSmart team,” says Michael Massey, PetSmart’s president and chief executive officer. “He joins us with extensive experience in finance across multiple industries, including retail, and will be a valuable member of the senior management team.”

Before joining Save-A-Lot, Anderson served as the principal accounting officer, controller and executive director of finance for Chipotle Mexican Grill, a fast-casual restaurant, for 5 years. From 1991 to 2003, Anderson held several leadership positions with the McDonald’s Corporation including senior director/controller, partner brands; director, finance Asia/Pacific/Middle East/Africa division; and director, finance, purchasing and IT for Dubai, UAE and Vienna, Austria.
