Sheetz to Open Up to 30 New Locations in Western Pennsylvania

by Katie Lee

Pittsburgh — CBRE has been engaged to assist with site selection for Sheetz Inc.’s expansion in Western Pennsylvania by RBG Development, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based commercial real estate acquisition development firm and exclusive developer for Sheetz, Inc. in the region.

Sheetz is one of America’s fastest-growing, family-owned and operated convenience store chains. CBRE, in partnership with RBG Development (RBG), will source and negotiate the acquisition of approximately 1.5 to 3.0-plus-acre, high-traffic and high-visibility sites to help the chain expand its presence by as many as 30 locations in Western Pennsylvania within the next 3 to 5 years.

“Sheetz has proven to be the industry leader in convenience retail, and we’re happy to partner with RBG to help such a dynamic organization with their expansion throughout Western Pennsylvania,” says CBRE’s Jason Cannon.

The expansion effort comes as convenience stores have benefited from shifts in consumer behavior because of increased consumer mobility. According to Sheetz, there is still plenty of room for growth in Western Pennsylvania as they will look to enter new communities throughout the region.

Established in 1952 in Altoona, Pa., Sheetz, Inc. operates more than 650 store locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina.

CBRE Group, Inc., a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company headquartered in Dallas, is the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm (based on 2021 revenue).
