Chicago — Former Home Depot executive Matthew Pitts has joined SMS Assist, a Chicago-based technology-driven facilities maintenance company, as COO.
Chicago — SMS Assist has named Matthew Pitts as chief operating officer of the Chicago-based technology-driven facilities maintenance company. Pitts previously served as vice president of building services for Atlanta-based Home Depot.
Pitts brings more than 20 years of broad facilities service, construction and energy management experience to the role. During his two decades at Home Depot, Pitts created the big box retailer’s highly regarded in-house facilities management organization, overseeing more than 2,000 stores and more than $1 billion in annual facilities maintenance spend.
