Taco Cabana to Open 2nd Location with New 3.0 Prototype

by Katie Lee

Houston — On the heels of its franchise program launch in October, Taco Cabana is readying to open its second TC 3.0 restaurant prototype in Houston before year’s end. The sleek new footprint boasts a streamlined, franchise-ready design that combines modern functionality with Taco Cabana’s rich heritage to fuel the brand’s new growth-focused era.

Crafted with franchising in mind, the TC 3.0 prototype is purpose-built for efficiency and adaptability, featuring:

• A condensed footprint that lowers initial investment for franchise partners. TC 3.0’s 2,500-square-foot model reduces the brand’s previous footprint by 1,000 square feet, and offers single or double drive-thru options.

• A thoughtfully engineered kitchen layout that maximizes productivity. TC 3.0 implements a single makeline that services the drive-thru and counter, which conserves space and optimizes labor.

• An inviting dining space that allows guests to enjoy the sights, sounds and aromas of fresh tortillas on the grill and signature dishes made to perfection, as well as a convenient walk-up window for on-the-go guests.

The planned Houston location will follow the debut of Taco Cabana’s 3.0 prototype, which first opened in June in Spring, Texas.

Founded in 1978, Taco Cabana, a subsidiary of YTC Enterprises, LLC, offers Mexican-inspired food. Restaurants feature open-display cooking, a selection of bottled beer and signature tequila margaritas, patio dining, drive-thru windows, curbside pickup and delivery.
