Brisbane, Calif. — bebe stores, inc. has signed a 5-year exclusive license with Longgoal LLC, a Shanghai-based agency of international high-end brands, to open between 60 and 150 bebe points of distribution in Greater China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The first boutique is expected to open in summer 2016.

Los Angeles — The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, Southern California’s oldest and largest privately-held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the U.S., has signed an exclusive area development agreement with South Korean retail conglomerate, E-LAND, to introduce its brand to China.
Dallas — 7-Eleven, Inc. (SEI), the world’s largest convenience retailer with 56,400 stores worldwide, has signed a master franchise agreement with Seven System Vietnam Co. Ltd. to develop and operate 7-Eleven® stores in Vietnam. The expansion marks the company’s first stake in the Pacific Rim since 7-Eleven entered Indonesia in 2009.
Toronto — In addition to completing the acquisition of 12 former Target sites, Lowe’s Canada also plans to open two more locations in Ontario. Construction is currently underway in Ancaster and Mississauga, representing an additional investment in excess of approximately C$50 million.
Dublin, Calif. — Ross Stores has opened 19 Ross Dress for Less® and 8 dd’s DISCOUNTS® stores across 15 different states in July. These new locations are part of the off-price retailer’s 2015 expansion plans to add a total of approximately 90 stores during the year, including 70 Ross and 20 dd’s DISCOUNTS.
Green Bay, Wis. — Continuing its path of growth, Shopko will open 15 new Shopko Hometown stores across eight states this July. The 15 new locations join 20 stores Shopko opened earlier this year and more than 15 additional stores the company plans to open in October.
Los Angeles — The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® entered its 25th international market when it opened in Japan in May 2015. The two new stores include a flagship location that opened May 26 in Nihonbashi, the financial hub of Tokyo, followed by the May 30 debut of a second location at AEON LakeTown, Japan’s largest eco-friendly supermall in the Saitama Prefecture of Koshigaya.
