Pittsburgh — DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc., the largest U.S.-based, omnichannel sporting goods retailer, has named Edward W. Stack, chairman and chief executive officer, to assume the role of executive chairman and continue as chief merchant on February 1, 2021. He also will oversee key strategic growth initiatives for the company. Pittsburgh — DICK’S Sporting Goods along with The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation have made a $5.5 million commitment to support communities impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Pittsburgh — DICK’S Sporting Goods, the largest U.S.-based, full-line omnichannel sporting goods retailer, will be opening five new stores during the second week in March, totaling approximately 180,000 square feet of retail. Openings for new stores in Davenport, Iowa; Queens, N.Y.; and Hinesville, Ga., will occur March 10 through March 12.
