Petco, a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services, was awarded a Grand Energy Champion Award for its dedication to energy sustainability at its national support center located in San Diego.
San Diego — Petco has added two key leaders, hiring Jodi Watson as senior vice president, Petco Direct; and Spencer Insolia as vice president, Petco, and president, Doctors Foster & Smith. The company has also named John Carcasi as senior vice president, supply chain & merchandise planning, expanding his previous role to encompass all supply chain and inventory related activity across the company.
Rockville, Md. — Petco will be acquired for $4.6 billion by CVC Capital Partners (Luxembourg) and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. The deal should close in early 2016. With its headquarters in San Diego, Petco had been taken private in 2006 in a $1.8 billion buyout by California-based private equity firms.
San Diego — Petco has made several key leadership changes, including the addition of chairman responsibilities to CEO Jim Myers’ role and naming Brad Weston president. Additionally, Steve Lossing has been promoted to senior vice president, operations. Lossing’s previous role will be helmed by Rebecca Frechette, the company’s new senior vice president, merchandising.
