Seattle — Nordstrom, Inc. has opened a new store at Pacific Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, marking the company’s first international flagship location. The 230,000-square-foot store offers a curated selection of merchandise from many of the world’s best brands.
Boston — Forever 21 has signed a lease for more than 20,000 square feet of retail space at 449 Washington St. in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. The store will have a footprint at street level with two additional levels, a unique concept for Boston retailers.
City of Commerce, Calif. — 99 Cents Only Stores LLC has hired Geoffrey Covert to join the company as president and chief executive officer. Covert was selected by the board of directors for his extensive senior leadership experience in the grocery retail sector, having most recently served as a senior vice president at The Kroger Company, one of the world’s largest food retailers.
