Bruce Johnson, CEO and president of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc., by mutual agreement with the company’s board of directors, will step down on August 1, 2015, the end of the company’s second fiscal quarter. He will continue to serve on the board until May 27, 2015.
St. Louis — Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc., an interactive entertainment retailer of customized stuffed animals, has named Chris Hurt to the position of chief operations officer, effective April 15, 2015. He joins the company from American Eagle Outfitters, Inc.
Goodlettsville, Tenn. — David Tehle, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Dollar General Corporation, will retire on July 1, 2015. Prior to joining Dollar General in June 2004, Tehle spent 7 years with Haggar Corporation as executive vice president and CFO.
Latham, N.Y. — Kyle MacDuff has been promoted to customer service team lead at DWM Facilities Maintenance. MacDuff, who joined DWM in 2013, has been able to establish new protocols and metrics to ensure overall cost-containment across four national client portfolios.
North Bergen, N.J. — Vitamin Shoppe, Inc., a multi-channel specialty retailer and manufacturer of nutritional products, has hired Colin Watts as its new chief executive officer, effective April 6, 2015. Watts will also become a member of the board of directors.
