Atlanta — SRS Real Estate Partners has brokered two new leases for Hobby Lobby in empty Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us stores in greater Atlanta. The first location, the former Toys”R”Us/Babies”R”Us in the Akers Mill Shopping Center in Atlanta, is 58,907 square feet. The second location is in the North Point Market Center in Alpharetta. This location spans 50,275 square feet.

Hobby Lobby, the world’s largest privately-owned arts and crafts retailer, has seen significant growth in 2018 after opening 63 new stores, including 12 relocations, in 2017. Hobby Lobby has more than 800 stores across the nation offering more than 70,000 crafting and home décor products.

“These locations are a perfect fit for Hobby Lobby, strengthening their presence in the Atlanta market and making them the dominant retailer in Atlanta in the arts and crafts, framing and home accents category. We were fortunate that these excellent locations became available and the landlords recognized the value that Hobby Lobby will bring to their centers,” says Steve Gunning, senior vice president in the Atlanta office.

Gunning represents the tenant, Hobby Lobby. The landlord for Akers Mill Square was represented by Olshan Properties. The landlord for North Point Market Center was represented by Colliers International Atlanta.
