Jos. A. Bank Reopens Renovated Madison Avenue Flagship

Fremont, Calif. — On March 5, 2019, Jos. A. Bank opened its newly renovated flagship store in New York City. The two-story location at the corner of Madison Avenue and 46th Street spans over 13,800 square feet. The Madison location, originally opened in 1994, has undergone a full transformation.

The open concept store boasts 17-foot ceilings, custom furniture and fixtures in rich brown woods, marbled stone tops, brushed copper hardware and antiqued mirrors. Design elements of shields and a map of the city of Baltimore (where the company was founded in 1905) depicted on wall coverings and rugs are features that evoke the brand’s classic heritage. There are two dedicated custom shops where customers will receive one-on-one service when creating personalized suits, sport coats and dress shirts. The mezzanine has a lounge area for custom and formalwear fittings that has been designed to comfortably sit larger groups with oversized custom-made leather ottomans and larger fitting rooms. A new glass enclosed, state-of-the-art tailor shop not only accommodates in-store tailoring needs but also allows customers to witness first-hand the quality workmanship that characterizes the Jos. A. Bank tailors. Two full feature video walls add enhanced digital visuals throughout the store for an elevated brand experience.
