Atlanta — With its retail concept a proven success in several major U.S. markets, Painted Tree Marketplace plans to accelerate expansion plans on a national basis in major suburban markets, with a focus on the Southeast, Midwest and Southwest. Painted Tree currently operates eight U.S. locations in Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas, with additional locations scheduled to open soon.
Painted Tree is aiming for 10 to 12 new store openings per year. Store sizes will range from 30,000 to 50,000 square feet, with a typical footprint of 35,000 square feet.
“We’re excited to expand our relationship with Painted Tree to include nationwide representation as we work as their partner to bring this great retail concept to additional markets across the U.S.,” says Brian Lefkoff, executive vice president for Ackerman Retail, who is leading the national expansion initiative on behalf of Painted Tree.
Painted Tree Marketplace is a creative community of hundreds of shops selling everything from jewelry, vintage finds and apparel to bath and body products, furnishings, arts and crafts, and baby gifts. The store emphasizes experiential shopping, offering a variety of workshops and demonstrations for the “DIY” home renovator.
Launched in 2015, Little Rock, Ark.-based Painted Tree brings together a wide mix of small, locally owned shops which custom-design their booths and provide the stock of inventory, while Painted Tree’s staff handle all customer service at the stores.
