Pittsburgh — Dick’s Sporting Goods plans to open 11 stores in nine states by the end of August. The Pittsburgh-based retailer will open stores in Hyannis and Brockton, Mass.; Deptford, N.J.; and Midland, Texas. It will also open a Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy location in Atlanta. Pittsburgh — DICK’S Sporting Goods has named Vidya Jwala as chief e-commerce and supply chain officer. In this role, Jwala will be responsible for the company’s digital integration of e-commerce and supply chain efforts, and will report to Lauren Hobart, president of DICK’S Sporting Goods.
Pittsburgh — DICK’S Sporting Goods along with The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation have made a $5.5 million commitment to support communities impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The short term emergency requests and long term recovery support ranges from monetary donations, to equipment and apparel and other much needed supplies distributed in partnership with The American Red Cross and local authorities.
