San Francisco —Williams Sonoma, a portfolio brand of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., has revealed its newly renovated Williams Sonoma Test Kitchen, a state-of-the-art culinary hub designed to fuel product innovation and serve as a collaborative space for the brand’s culinary team, chefs and creators. Located at the company’s headquarters in San Francisco, the reimagined Test Kitchen features expanded cooking stations and premium kitchen appliances with dedicated spaces designed to help facilitate recipe development, product testing and content creation.
For decades, the Williams Sonoma Test Kitchen has served as a center for the brand’s culinary innovation and product curation. The space is used daily for recipe development, product testing, cookbook writing and product creation. In 2025, the Williams Sonoma Culinary Team developed more than 300 original recipes and tested over 1,200 products in the Williams Sonoma Test Kitchen. The newly renovated space builds on the brand’s tradition of developing and testing both recipes and products while supporting a new generation of digital storytelling, culinary education and product innovation.
“Just as the kitchen is the heart of the home, the Williams Sonoma Test Kitchen is the heart of our company,” says Felix Carbullido, president of Williams Sonoma. “This renovation reinforces our commitment to helping customers cook with confidence, knowing that every product we offer has been rigorously tested and perfected by our culinary team. We look forward to using this space to inspire new ideas, drive innovation and deepen our connection with our customers and the culinary community.”

To design the new Test Kitchen, Williams Sonoma enlisted the help of renowned kitchen designer and cabinet maker, Christopher Peacock. Peacock’s expertise and design insights helped refine the Test Kitchen’s functionality and his bespoke cabinetry and signature hardware have elevated the space, resulting in a kitchen that is both highly functional and distinctly Williams Sonoma.
The Test Kitchen also now features state-of-the-art appliances from Monogram™ to every zone of the kitchen. This includes 12 Monogram wall ovens packed with the latest in cooking innovation, three built-in cooktops as well as multiple refrigeration appliances from traditional refrigerators and freezers to wine columns and under-counter drawer solutions. The kitchen is further enhanced by the addition of Monogram’s new luxury Premium Fully Integrated Panel-Ready dishwasher, designed with advanced cleaning performance and a refined aesthetic that complements the space’s design. Given the need for a durable countertop solution that also contributed to the new kitchen’s elevated design, Williams Sonoma partnered with Cosentino, selecting the Italian Carrara marble inspired Silestone Et. Statuario and the neutral Dekton Aeris that withstand constant use, scratches, spills and everyday wear in a high-performance cooking environment. Additionally, the new kitchen utilizes thoughtful storage solutions from the Williams Sonoma Hold Everything collection to keep essential tools organized and within reach, ensuring the space functions seamlessly for recipe development and content production.
With expanded production capabilities, the Test Kitchen will also serve as a dynamic stage for Williams Sonoma’s culinary community — hosting visiting chefs, cookbook authors, food personalities and brand partners who bring fresh ideas and inspiration to home cooks everywhere.
