Nashville, Tenn. — Kirkland’s, Inc. is strengthening its senior management team with the addition of Steve “Woody” Woodward as chief executive officer. Woodward, who is currently president and chief merchant of Crate and Barrel, will join the Kirkland’s team on October 22, 2018. The company’s acting CEO, Mike Cairnes, will be promoted from his previous position of executive vice president to president in addition to resuming his previous role as chief operating officer.

Nashville, Tenn. — Kirkland’s has reopened its Brentwood, Tenn., location at 1624 Galleria Blvd. after a month-long closure for remodeling. The new, reimagined store design has been carefully planned to provide shoppers with design and decor inspiration.
Silver Spring, Md. — PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans, a New Orleans-based coffeehouse, has signed a multi-unit agreement to bring five locations to Maryland, northern Virginia and Washington D.C. within the next 4 years. The first location is projected to open in mid-October in Silver Spring, Md.
Overland Park, Kan., and Deerfield, Ill. — Walgreens and Sprint plan to expand the collaboration they had announced earlier this year, which will include 80 new locations. All of the new Sprint Express at Walgreens stores will be throughout Chicagoland and the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area, and are planned to open by the end of the year.
