Canton, Mass. — Destination XL Group, Inc., the leading retailer of men’s XL apparel, has crossed the border into Canada and opened a new DXL store in Ajax, Ontario, in Harwood Centre. This is the first DXL Men’s Apparel store to open in Canada, and a second will be opening soon in Mississauga, Ontario.
Oceanside, Calif. — Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, L.L.C. (KBS), the largest provider of technology enabled, integrated interior and exterior property services to retailers, grocers and multi-site customers in North America, has purchased Image by J&K L.L.C., a provider of facilities maintenance services.
Fargo, N.D. — Vanity Shop of Grand Forks, Inc. is closing all 137 of its Vanity stores in 27 states. Tiger Capital Group, which provides asset valuation, advisory and disposition services to a broad range of retail, wholesale and industrial clients, is conducting the going-out-of-business sale, which is now underway.
Toronto — Oxford Properties Group plans to redevelop and expand the former Target location at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ontario (Canada). The redevelopment includes the introduction of a one-level, 64,000-square-foot Sport Chek location, a 40,000-square-foot first-to-market Food Market concept, a new two-level feature court space and a 35,000-square-foot vertical expansion. Construction officially commenced in February and the redevelopment is scheduled to open in 2018.
