Canton, Mass. — Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, has signed a development agreement with existing franchisee Precision Hospitality & Development to develop eight new restaurants in Los Angeles. The first restaurant is planned to open in 2018.

Boston — Enevo, a leader in smart waste management, has appointed waste industry veteran Ric Hobby as president and general manager for Enevo North America. In his new capacity, Hobby will oversee Enevo’s rapidly growing sales and operations efforts in North America.
Sunbury, Pa. — Weis Markets, Inc., a Mid-Atlantic food retailer, has reached a definitive agreement with Food Lion, LLC, to purchase the assets of 38 Food Lion supermarket locations operating in the states of Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. The company plans to complete the purchase of these locations pending regulatory approval.
Framingham, Mass. — Staples, Inc. has named Steve Matyas its new president, North American retail. He previously had been president of Staples Canada/Bureau en Gros since July 2000, and will continue to serve as a member of the company’s executive committee.
New York City — Italian luxury brand Cesar has added New York to its list of flagship cities, which includes Milan, Genoa, Paris and Cannes. The high-end kitchen manufacturer, known for its high-tech, expertly crafted modern kitchen designs, has opened a showroom on 23rd Street in the heart of the Flatiron district.
Fort Wayne, Ind. — Heritage Foodservice Group has added Roger Jorgensen as chief financial officer and senior vice president. He will oversee Heritage’s finance teams in the U.S. and Canada, and support investment in future innovation as the company seeks to aggressively expand its served markets.
Tampa, Fla. — Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. is expanding its international presence with plans to develop 26 Outback Steakhouse and Abbraccio restaurants in the Middle East over the next 5 years. There are currently six Abbraccio restaurants in Brazil with more scheduled to open by the end of the year. Abbraccio is the name used for Carrabba’s Italian Grill outside of the U.S.
