New York City — The board of directors of Brixmor Property Group Inc. has named industry veteran James (Jim) M. Taylor as CEO and president. Taylor joins Brixmor with more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. His appointment will become effective May 20, 2016 and he will join the company’s board on June 16, 2016.
Minneapolis — Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. has appointed Dexter Newman as chief financial officer, effective immediately. He most recently served as vice president and a division CFO at Bloomin’ Brands Inc., a casual dining company with more than 1,400 restaurants in 49 states.
Toronto — Sears Canada Inc. has appointed Becky Penrice as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Penrice has been senior vice president and interim chief operating officer since February 1, 2016. Prior to that, Penrice was senior vice president, human resources and information technology.
San Diego — Petco has added two key leaders, hiring Jodi Watson as senior vice president, Petco Direct; and Spencer Insolia as vice president, Petco, and president, Doctors Foster & Smith. The company has also named John Carcasi as senior vice president, supply chain & merchandise planning, expanding his previous role to encompass all supply chain and inventory related activity across the company.
Nashville, Tenn. — Captain D’s LLC, the leading fast-casual seafood restaurant, has hired Keith Davis to join its executive team as CFO. Davis will be responsible for the development and execution of financial strategies to support the company’s business plans, while also leading the finance and IT departments.
Moorestown, N.J. — Judd P. Tirnauer, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Destination Maternity Corporation, the world’s leading maternity apparel retailer, plans to depart the company to take a senior leadership role with a private specialty retailer. He had been with the company for 15 years.
Southfield, Mich. — Continuum Services, a Michigan-based, single-source commercial facilities services and maintenance organization, has promoted Chris Greene to chief financial officer. Continuum Services is an affiliated company of REDICO, a national commercial real estate firm.
Woburn, Mass., and Charlotte, N.C. — Massachusetts-based U.S. Pavement Services, Inc. has expanded its paving and pavement maintenance operations to the Carolinas. Original 800-PAVEMENT network member Rick Adkison and his long-time staff and crews will now operate as U.S. Pavement Services based in Charlotte, N.C. Adkison will serve as general manager of the newly created division, overseeing all operations in the region.
