DoorDash Partners with ALDI to Expand On-Demand Grocery Delivery

San Francisco — DoorDash, the local commerce platform, and ALDI, one of America’s fastest-growing retailers, have formed a new partnership to bring on-demand grocery delivery to nearly all ALDI locations across 38 states. ALDI Opens Distribution Center in Alabama to Support 100 Stores in Gulf Coast Region

Loxley, Ala. — On Jan. 31, 2023, ALDI unveiled a new regional headquarters and distribution center in Loxley, Ala., which will ultimately serve as many as 100 stores across the Gulf Coast. Tel Aviv, Israel, and Munich, Germany — Trigo, an Israel-based computer vision company that builds systems for autonomous checkout and retail analytics, has rolled out Germany’s first fully-autonomous cashierless supermarket in partnership with German grocery giant REWE Group. Aldi to Open 100 New Grocery Stores in 2021 Coast-to-Coast

Batavia, Ill. — Aldi, a discount grocer based in Essen, Germany, is continuing its nationwide expansion with 100 new stores to open this year. The grocer plans to grow its footprint in select markets in Arizona, California, Florida and the Northeast U.S. Aldi also plans to add curbside pickup service to 500 additional stores this year, bringing its total number of stores with curbside options to 1,200.
