Seattle — IA Interior Architects is growing its retail practice group with the addition of a new team that will be based in Seattle. This group will be led by three retail experts: Mike Riggs, managing director/retail; Ron Singler, design director/retail; and Alex Shapleigh, design director/retail. The new team will work in conjunction with the company’s New York Retail practice group.
Bethesda, Md. — GTM Architects, an award-winning residential and commercial architectural firm, has completed some design work with Sugar Factory American Brasserie at six new locations across the U.S., including three that recently opened: a 9,000-square-foot restaurant in Chicago, Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., and its largest restaurant in Las Vegas.
Philadelphia — CDI Studio One, the architecture division of L.R. Kimball – a CDI Company, has completed the new office complex/operation center for Sheetz, Inc., the $7.2 billion, family-owned and operated convenience store giant. Located on the Sheetz corporate campus midway between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, the project includes a 115,000-square-foot modern headquarters and operation Center and an adjacent 13,000-square-foot daycare center.
