Hoffman Estates, Ill. — Sears Holdings Corporation has been named a 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award winner for continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. In addition, the Kenmore brand has been named a 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Product Brand Owner. According to the EPA, it marks the first time a company has won all three awards: Retailer, Energy Management and Brand Owner.
Ottawa — For the first time, ENERGY STAR certification is now available in Canada for commercial and institutional buildings. Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, has challenged building owners and managers to take advantage of this new tool to demonstrate their commitment to green growth and to be the first to apply to earn their certification.

Dublin, Ohio — On December 1, 2016, The Wendy’s Company joined EPA’s ENERGY STAR program as an ENERGY STAR partner. As part of the program, Wendy’s will work to improve energy efficiency through a strategic, corporate energy management program that will enhance the company’s energy strategy.
Mobile, Ala. — On August 31, 2016, The Wendy’s Company and its franchisee, the Wendco Group, will receive national recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with a visit and tour of the newly rebuilt Wendy’s restaurant in Mobile, Ala., to showcase the company’s innovations in reducing energy use. Wendy’s has cut energy use by 37% at the Mobile location.
Glenview, Ill. — Thanks to a continued commitment to energy efficiency and cost savings, ITW Food Equipment Group–North America (ITW FEG) has once again been awarded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) highest industry honor. For the seventh consecutive year, ITW FEG has earned the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year–Sustained Excellence Award.
