Sunbury, Pa. — Weis Markets, Inc., a Mid-Atlantic food retailer, plans to convert 38 Food Lion supermarket locations to Weis Markets stores. The company has completed the purchase of these locations operating in the states of Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, and plans to complete the conversion process by the end of October.
Canton, Mass. — On September 20, 2016, Dunkin’ Donuts opened its 12,000th restaurant worldwide, in the Greater Los Angeles area in Riverside, Calif. With this milestone location, Dunkin’ Donuts continues its steady and strategic westward expansion, opening more than 30 new restaurants in California with plans for about 300 new locations total to be developed in the state over the coming years.
Burlington, Ontario (Canada) — IKEA Canada is planning a full-size store for Quebec City. Scheduled to open in summer 2018, the IKEA Quebec City store will be the 14th IKEA store in Canada. The store will take roughly 14-16 months to build once the ground has been broken in spring 2017 and will be approximately 340,000 square feet in size.
