New York City — J.Crew Group, Inc. has promoted Vincent Zanna, previously senior vice president of finance and treasurer, to chief financial officer and treasurer, effective immediately. He will continue reporting to Michael J. Nicholson, president and chief operating officer.
Dallas — Dallas-based sporting goods company Warstic has acquired a building on Main Street in Dallas and plans to open a hand turned wood baseball bat manufacturing facility, flagship retail location and headquarters in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood. Scheduled to open in early 2018, the location will serve as the brand’s first brick-and-mortar retail location for the fast-growing company, co-owned by Third Man Records’ Jack White, Detroit Tigers’ Ian Kinsler and OneFastBuffalo’s Ben Jenkins.
Seattle — Sur La Table, a leading retail destination since 1972 for those passionate about cooking and entertaining, has appointed Billy May as chief executive officer. May, a fourth-generation retailer, will also join the board of directors. He succeeds Diane Neal who retired earlier this year.
Topeka, Kan. — Payless ShoeSource has successfully emerged from its Chapter 11 restructuring as the Number 1 specialty footwear retailer in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world with about 3,500 brick-and-mortar stores. Following the completion of the company’s restructuring, Paul Jones will retire as CEO.
