To address these goals, Lowe’s installed HydroPoint smart irrigation controllers to optimize landscape irrigation at more than 900 of its stores. Mooresville, N.C. — Mooresville, N.C.-based Lowe’s and San Diego-based Petco Health and Wellness Co. Inc. have plans to open a new in-store concept that will offer both home and pet products within select Lowe’s locations. The first Lowe’s + Petco store-in-store concept is slated to open at the Lowe’s Alamo Ranch store in San Antonio this month. Mooresville, N.C. — Lowe’s Companies, Inc. will close all 99 of its Orchard Supply Hardware stores by February 1, 2019. Founded in San Jose, Calif., in 1931 and acquired by Lowe’s in 2013, Orchard Supply Hardware operates locations in California, Oregon and Florida. Lowe’s is closing the stores to focus on its core home improvement business.

Mooresville, N.C. — Lowe’s Companies, Inc. has named Donald E. Frieson as executive vice president, supply chain, effective August 8, 2018. He will be responsible for the company’s distribution centers, logistics, global sourcing, transportation and delivery services. Frieson will report to Marvin R. Ellison, president and CEO.
