Shanghai — Yum China Holdings, Inc.’s chief executive officer, Micky Pant, will transition to vice chairman and senior advisor. Joey Wat, who currently serves as president and chief operating officer, will succeed Pant as CEO of Yum China. The succession plan will take effect on March 1, 2018.
Dublin, Calif. — Ross Stores has recently opened 30 Ross Dress for Less® and 10 dd’s DISCOUNTS® stores across 22 different states in September and October. These new locations complete the company’s store growth plans for fiscal 2017. (Ross added 96 new stores total in 2017.)

Seattle — On October 3, 2017, Nordstrom, Inc. opened its newest Los Angeles full-line store at Westfield Century City, a re-location from Westside Pavilion. The store offers a new store design and new customer services. Also on October 3 in West Hollywood, the retailer launched Nordstrom Local, a neighborhood hub where customers can access the company’s best services in a convenient, central location.

McKees Rocks, Pa. — General Pipe Cleaners, a division of General Wire Spring, has named Dave Dunbar as national sales manager, effective October 2, 2017. A 21-year veteran of General, Dunbar succeeds Andy Zelazny, who retired at the end of September after 40 years with the company.
