Dublin, Calif. — Ross Stores recently opened 23 Ross Dress for Less® and six dd’s DISCOUNTS® stores across 14 different states in February and March. These new locations are part of the company’s plans to add approximately 100 new stores — 75 Ross and 25 dd’s DISCOUNTS locations — during fiscal 2018.
Indianapolis — Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened in south Indianapolis on March 13, 2018. The opening marks the 300th location for Freddy’s. Freddy Simon, the 93-year-old company namesake and World War II veteran, was scheduled to be in attendance on opening day.
Minneapolis — As part of several initiatives in its accelerated multiyear strategy, Target Corporation will nearly triple the size of its remodel program in 2018, updating more than 300 stores around the country and making sizeable investments in key cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul and New York.
Pearl River, N.Y. — Alexandria Perotti has been promoted to director of operations at Holt Construction Corp. She began her new position on March 5, 2018 and will be instrumental in the overall performance and ultimate success of improving operational systems, including supporting better management reporting, information flow, business practices and organizational planning.
Estero, Fla. — Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., has hired Paul Stone as executive vice president and chief retail operations officer (CROO), North America. Stone, who will join Hertz on March 6, brings more than 30 years of operational expertise from his leadership roles with retail giants Sam’s Club/ Walmart and Cabela’s.
