Parsippany, N.J. — Ferrero, a global confectionery company and the maker of Nutella® The Original Hazelnut Spread®, will open a Nutella Cafe at 13th Street and University Place, near Union Square, by the end of the year. Nutella Cafe New York will feature a Nutella-inspired cafe menu and specialty espresso beverages. The first Nutella Cafe opened on May 31, 2017 in Chicago.

Houston — On June 6, 2018, Pizza Inn opened its new convenient grab-and-go unit, PIE, inside a 24-hour travel center near the Hobby Airport in Houston. The non-traditional location gives customers a fast, convenient experience when picking up their favorite hot pizza.
Boston — B.GOOD, which offers great tasting, locally sourced burgers, bowls, salads and smoothies, has appointed Chris Fuqua as the company’s new chief executive officer. He assumes day-to-day leadership of the company following more than 8 years at Dunkin’ Brands, where he served in a variety of leadership roles including marketing, operations, supply chain and strategy.
Denver — Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to relocate its headquarters, currently in Denver, to Newport Beach, Calif. Functions within the current Denver office will either be consolidated in Chipotle’s existing office in Columbus, Ohio, or moved to the new headquarters in Newport Beach.
Alexandria, Va. — Fransmart, the leading global franchise developer behind the explosive growth of The Halal Guys and Five Guys Burgers & Fries, has brought on industry veteran Michael D’Arezzo. As part of the Fransmart team, D’Arezzo will assist Fransmart’s founder and president, Dan Rowe, in developing and growing the company’s existing portfolio of emerging restaurant brands.
Louisville, Ky. — Long John Silver’s, the nation’s largest quick-service seafood company, has acquired 76 LJS restaurants owned by ServUS, located primarily in Indiana. ServUS is owned by veteran franchisee Bob Ruckriegel who opened the third Long John Silver’s restaurant in 1969. Financial terms were not released.
Houston — Shipley Do-Nuts recently celebrated the much-anticipated opening of its first location in the New Orleans area in historic Old Metairie, La. The company will continue to expand in Louisiana and has plans to enter Lafayette and Baton Rouge in the next 12 months.
